SHORT DESCRIPTION

The University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy teaches over 4,000 students annually in the three levels of degrees: Bachelor, Master and Doctor (full-time and part-time).

Students are awarded a European diploma for graduate engineers, as well as joint degrees with the Hamburg University and Otto von Guericke University in Germany and the Moscow State University of Printing Arts. Some subjects are taught in German, French and English.

The University maintains long-term cooperation with many foreign universities on joint projects, curricula and exchange of students and lecturers.

The mission of the UCTM is to train highly qualified specialists including higher education in all areas of chemical technology and metallurgy, biotechnology, ecology, information technology and management.

The University develops fundamental and applied research in the traditional fields: natural sciences and chemical technologies, metallurgy and the most advanced areas of biotechnology, nanotechnology, energy and environmental efficiency, and information technology.
