The Technical University of Sofia is the first and largest university, having the highest accreditation grade of all higher schools in Bulgaria. It creates educational standards and introduces national priorities for the development of education and science.
The Technical University of Sofia is a major educational research and production complex offering highly qualified trainers, engineers, and technical staff, with modern laboratory facilities and considerable capacities for experimentation and production.
Moreover, the Technical University of Sofia carries out dynamic research activities, their scientific products being competitive on the world market.
The university is the largest higher engineering school in Bulgaria with long years of experience in training engineers. It trains specialists in degree engineering courses essential for industrial development. Contemporary engineering trends in mechanical and electrical engineering, electronics, power generation, transport, automation, computer science and telecommunications, textile engineering, industrial management are taught at the Technical University.
The campus of the University consists of 14 buildings used for studies. The University has a language center, a publishing house, an Information resources center, a separate building - sports center houses with an Olympic size swimming pool and many other sports halls.
The Technical University of Sofia is the only educational institution in the country that offers training in three foreign languages. Students can also obtain diplomas from partner universities and polytechnics, from Germany, France and Great Britain respectively.

The Technical University of Sofia is the first technical school of higher education in the country with a 70-year-old history. It is a university that has not only trained a considerable number of specialists for Bulgaria (over 100 thousand engineers have received their education here). TU-Sofia has also trained the faculty and teaching staff of the other higher technical schools in the country.

Sofia Airport is the largest international airport in Bulgaria. You can easily arrive in Sofia by plane and find your location for staying. As a capital, Sofia offers central bus and train stations from which you could reach all Bulgarian towns and places.
