SHORT DESCRIPTION
The University of Economics - Varna, founded in 1920, is one of the oldest higher education institutions in the field of economics on the Balkan Peninsula. The University of Economics- Varna’s building is also Varna town’ symbol and is part of the cultural monuments’ list.
In its nearly 100 years of history University of Economics – Varna has trained over 123,000 economists, both Bulgarian and international students coming from over 60 countries. Currently, the university trains over 11,000 Bulgarian and foreign students. Faculty members are 300, among those 120 are professors and associate professors. University of Economics – Varna has been accredited and certified as an academic and research organization as per ISO 9001:2008. This university never ceases to strengthen its reputation.
Over the years the University of Economics – Varna academic and research facilities have been continually improved and modernized. This university governing bodies consider investing in facilities a prerequisite for an enhanced academic environment for faculty members and students.
