VUM – Sofia offers university education in English language in programs leading to British BA(Hons) and Master (of Cardiff Metropolitan University) degrees and the respective Bulgarian degrees.

VUM was established by decree of the Bulgarian Parliament based on the accreditation by the National Assessment and Accreditation Agency of Bulgaria. Since 2004 VUM is accredited by the British Accreditation Council (BAC) as an institution providing British university education. The BAC verifies on the ground that the standards and requirements of the British higher education system have been met.
