ACCREDITATION
AUBG is a unique institution accredited both in the United States and in Bulgaria by the NEASC and NEAA. AUBG also issues the European Diploma Supplement which confers automatic recognition of the AUBG degree throughout Europe.

Services

The unique atmosphere is further enhanced by the modern facilities on campus. Here you will find the fabulous award-winning building of America for Bulgaria Student Center, the Balkanski Academic Center and Panitza Library, both nested in the same stylish building, as well as the three Residence Halls - Skaptopara 1,2 and 3.

Resident Assistants are students who assist fellow students with living in the dorms. They are highly-motivated, highly-trained students who will help anyone feel at home on our campus. They work alongside trained counselors in the Office of Residential Life to make sure your time on campus is pleasant, academically enriching and...fun!

We are dedicated to actively support and contribute to the success of AUBG students and faculty. Our collection consists of over 250,000 print and electronic resources. Apart from that we provide access to thousands of top-library collections around the world via the Interlibrary Loan service.

Student Life

Skaptopara Student Complex, or Skapto, as everyone calls it, is a one-of-a-kind residential campus in the tradition of the typical American "liberal arts" colleges, which lets students live, study, and have fun in the same place. Such an environment is essential in nurturing the feeling of togetherness, which distinguishes AUBG from other universities, and stays with AUBGers for the rest of their lives.

AUBG students are lucky enough to have one of the best university gymnasiums in Europe. This outstanding venue, housed in the award-winning ABF building, is fully equipped for a variety of sports - football (soccer), basketball, volleyball, tennis and handball, and is open for students to train individually or in groups.

It’s made even more unique by the one-of-a-kind running track which circles around the gym on the second floor. The hall is so great, it is occasionally rented by professional athletes such as the Bulgarian Male National Volleyball team.
